Escher's Lizards

The 14 acre park has many features devoted to the artist M.C. Escher. The commission was to create 10 Escher lizards (7 individual and 3 interlocking) that simulated 3 types of indigenous lizards. The LithoMosaic materials include glass, stone and ceramic tile. Working with a professor from UNLV, Robin Brailsford and Wick Alexander transformed local, native indigenous species of lizard to fit within a repeating hexagonal pattern true to the Escher vision.
